Job Description
- Review Environmental lmpact Assessment Study
- Prepare environmental impact assessment and Social Assessment, when required.
- Monitor compliance to the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) and Permits issued by EMB DENR.
- Review Contractor's Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (CEMMP).
- Conduct daily environmental inspection and monitoring on the construction site and ancillary facilities.
- Prepare environmental audit, inspection, incident and progress reports.
- Prepare letters/ c (air, water, noise, vibration) or as defined in the IEE/ElA,/Contract and able to interpret environmental data.
- Deal with environmental incidents on site and provide measures to address incidents.
- Assist the Environmental Manager in monitoring implementation of ElA, ECC, Permits and make recommendations on environmental mitigation measures.
- Working with Project Delivery Managers, Construdion and Operation staff to highlight environmental issues and the ways in which these may be resolved.
- Ensure the project complies with EMB-DENR regulations and standards and other relevant government requirements and standards.
- Attend and participate in meetings with the Client / consultant, financing institution and internal departments.
- Assists in preparing public consultations, when required.
- Prepares Socio-Economic Profile of affected communities, when required.
- Liaises with government authorities i.e. EMB, CDC, FM8, LGU and others.
- Develop and present environmental training necessary to implement the
CEMMP at construction sites and ancillary facilities.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelo/s degree in engineering (Chemical, sanitary Civil, lndustrial)
- Preferably DENR-EMB Accredited PCO. Preferably establishments under category B.
- Preferably with more than 3 years of experience as PCO.
- With competent knowledge on handling or monitoring wastewater/batching plant.
- Knowledgeable with submission of Self-Monitoring Reports and Compliance Monitoring Reports.
- Knowledgeable about different environmental laws, which include but are not limited to PD1586. RA5969, RA9003, RA8749, RA9275.
- Knowledgeable in Environmental Management System/lso14001
- Basic knowledge/Understanding of MsDs & chemical handling
- Good communication skills - both verbal and written and attention to details.
