MacOS Engineer

Adyen's Device Management team is looking for a macOS Engineer to help operate, scale, and optimize an Apple ecosystem that's front and center of the company's operation. In this role, you'll work at a constant balance between user comfort, automation, and security, helping us bring forward initiatives that enhance productivity and streamline operations for our macOS users globally.

What you'll do

  • Device Management: Administer our fleet of MacBooks using Jamf Pro to deliver users a world-class experience.
  • Automation: Build and maintain scripts and automations to provide across-the-fleet solutions, increase reliability, and streamline the macOS lifecycle.
  • Tooling: Manage and scale macOS-specific tooling, AutoPkg and Munki, to ensure seamless software delivery and patching.
  • Ecosystem Integration: Partner with teams to leverage identity and access controls via Okta and LDAP, integrate macOS workflows with Google Enterprise and provision network, backup and reliability services.
  • Security & Compliance: Apply a security-first mindset to every task and project we deliver.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality documentation for workflows, administrative procedures, and integrations.

Who you are

  • Jamf Expert: You have hands-on experience with Jamf Pro, ideally with exposure to Jamf Cloud and migration projects.
  • Scripter: You are proficient in Shell scripting; knowledge of other languages applicable to macOS (like Swift or Python) is a significant plus.
  • Technical Generalist: You have experience or a strong interest in Google Enterprise, Okta, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), VPN, Firewalls, Backup solutions, etc..
  • Automation Minded: You are always finding ways to automate the "boring stuff" or let the machine do the repetitive tasks.
  • Collaborator: You're a strong communicator capable of working cross-functionally to deliver secure and maintainable systems.

Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments

Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. No matter who you are or where you're from, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen.
