Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience, including proven experience delivering diverse projects in both, local and international contexts.
- Professional experience working in Germany and strong knowledge of German construction standards and regulations.
- A portfolio demonstrating high-quality design and project delivery is required.
- Previous experience working within a BIM environment; proficiency in Revit is essential.
- Fluent in German, English, and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Strong knowledge of the full life cycle of a construction project.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

Job Description
AECOM Buildings and Places Spain is a dynamic, multidisciplinary practice driven by innovation and collaboration. We integrate sustainable solutions into everything we do and approach every project with a high-performance design strategy.
Our team, as part of the continued growth of our business, is looking for a Senior Architect to support our strategic plan and further develop their experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects. These projects span a diverse range of construction sectors including Transportation, Healthcare, Hospitality, Aviation, Workplace, Logistics, and Defense.
Working within a dynamic, highly motivated, and driven team, you will be part of our project delivery, mentor junior staff, and help develop our future architects.
As a Senior Architect, you will contribute to the winning, management, and delivery of moderate to large-scale projects within an international context.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage building projects for our clients throughout all stages: feasibility, design, permitting, contractor procurement, and construction.
- Ensure compliance with German building codes and regulations for projects in Germany.
- Provide creative direction and technical leadership to the team, coaching and supporting team members.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, high-performance design solutions.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
