About the role

This role will be a key member of the AWX Finance team. As a senior analyst in the Finance & Strategy team, you will be responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis function across AWX globally. You will assist in providing strategic financial insights, analyzing business performance, and contributing to decision-making processes. Reporting to the Finance & Strategy Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders across Finance to ensure accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Support quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency to achieve Airwallex's short & long-term goals

• Maintain and update existing reports, models and dashboards for regular financial reporting to stakeholders

• Assist in analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial data, providing insights and reports on areas of concern to business partners.

• Collaborate with stakeholder and business partners to conduct in-depth financial analysis to manage costs, identify optimisation opportunities and evaluate division profitability

• Support ongoing enhancement of AWX management reporting system

• Collaborate with cross-functional finance teams on finance-wide projects and contribute to process improvements opportunities across Finance

What you will bring:

• 4-7 years of relevant experience, with a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent advanced finance qualification preferred

• Sound knowledge of financial analysis and planning, especially in budgeting, forecasting, cost allocations, accounting principles and developing financial models

• Prior experience or understanding of financial services and fintech businesses is a plus

• Strong attention to detail, analytical in nature, with ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear insights

• Proficiency with G-Suite, Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools. Experience with SQL, data visualisation tools, financial software and management reporting systems will be advantageous

• Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement within the Finance & Strategy function

• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
