The Data Center (DC) Security Team provides physical security solutions to protect AWS personnel, AWS facilities and information of our customers.

For our Data Centers in the Zaragoza area, we are looking for a highly motivated, customer-obsessed Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to provide hands-on support to our Data Center Infrastructure Operations team across the Zaragoza Cluster. As a DSM, you will will combine security operations expertise with strong leadership abilities.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS Data Centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage on-site physical security operations for Data Centers.
- Direct and manage contract guard force to run daily data center operations.
- Provide guidance and leadership to contract security provider personnel.
- Evaluate the contract security provider performance and service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed.
- Handle site security incidents, escalations or any other security related issues.
- Provide after-hours on-call management support and participate in emergent, large scale event response when needed.
- Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and incident reporting.
- Generate and analyze security metrics.
- Implement new security processes while maintaining compliance with Amazon policies.
- Develop and execute security plans and emergency response protocols.
- Establish benchmarks for security performance
- Build and maintain partnerships with internal teams.
- Collaborate with global security teams.
- Oversee new security construction or retrofit projects.
- Manage the security P&L for assigned sites, assist management with financial analysis and contribute to financial decisions for security requirements.

A day in the life
The Data Center Security Manager is overseeing the security operations, assessing threat and vulnerability of the site and training and coaching the AWS staff on security procedures and policies.
