Our team's primary objectives are to improve developer experience and to increase engineering team productivity. We do this by providing a range of products and services that orientate around engineering reuse, product management and operations, developer insights and platform engineering. We are a user outcome-driven team which releases frequently, experiments, drives standards, and ultimately use everything that we build.
About The Role
As Product Owner of our Platform-as-a-Product you will be at the heart of our engineering strategy. The platform solves the problem of being able to provision high-quality full-stack golden path builds quickly. It allows engineering teams to develop rapidly with a proven route to production. The product is entering a pivotal and exciting phase where we are expanding our functionality and augmenting functionality to thrive in an agent-developed environment.
The Product Owner will be the face of the platform; interacting with our developer community to understand, translate and build their needs. Success is ultimately measured by adoption, engineering measures and developer feedback.
The Product Owner will be responsible for:
- Prioritising and defining a product roadmap which is aligned to outcomes and feedback
- Domain and Product Objectives and Key Results setting, measurement and improvement
- Engagement and adoption with our engineering teams
- Partnering with our Engineering Lead to balance feature impact with technical feasibility
- Discovery and design of features and initiatives, including initiating PoCs where relevant
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years' experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner
- Experience working with or building developer platforms
- Extensive knowledge of foundational infrastructure services such as AWS, Crossplane, Terraform, Kubernetes and ArgoCD
- Working knowledge of DevOps toolsets such as GitHub (including GitHub Actions and Copilot), SonarQube, Trivy, Backstage, Grafana and Artifactory
- Understanding of measurable engineering outcomes and insights
- Experience of working within engineering teams as a developer and/or leadership position, however this is not essential, being a developer advocate is
- Ability to work well in and across diverse, global teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes
