We are Belvo, an open finance API platform with the bold vision of democratizing access to financial services in Latin America. We enable any financial innovator to access and interpret financial data, as well as initiate payments from their end-users accounts. We're turning the messy complexities of the Latin American financial ecosystem into a modern set of tools to access and interpret data and move money in a seamless and secure way.

We're a highly-technical, passionate, and driven team. We are more than 90 people and our team currently represents 20 nationalities. We have offices in São Paulo and Mexico City - while a large portion of us work remotely.

Your opportunity:

• Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the Brazilian subsidiaries, Colombian subsidiary and US holding, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with external accountants.

• Global operator of accounts payables and expense management and accounts receivable & billing (Brazil and Mexico), ensuring smooth coordination with People and Revenue teams.

• Manage and support external audits and internal controls, ensuring compliance with Brazilian regulations (especially for the regulated entity).

• Own and deliver all regulatory reporting obligations for the regulated financial institution.

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and variance analysis.

• Perform cost/managerial accounting tasks, including data labeling and analysis for decision-making.

This position may be for you if:

• A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

• 4+ years of experience in finance/accounting roles in Brazil, ideally including exposure to other LATAM companies.

• Proven experience in multi-company accounting, with a strong preference for BR and/or LATAM markets.

• Curiosity and/or knowledge of Brazilian regulatory requirements, especially for payments institutions.

• Strong reconciliation skills - especially involving bank transactions and accounting books.

• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Sheets.

• Fluent in Portuguese and English

• Comfortable leveraging AI tools (e.g., chatbots, copilots, or productivity assistants) to enhance daily workflows and decision-making.
  

Amazing if:

• Fluency in Spanish

• Experience in Mexico or LATAM market

• You have experience in a Brazilian Payment Institution or fintech company.

• You're familiar with electronic banking systems, and operational treasury best practices.

• You have leveraged AI to fundamentally change the way you work and / or build amazing projects
