We are seeking an experienced Business Controller to partner with operations in a high‑volume service environment, covering ISO certification, sustainability assessments, and cybersecurity services. This role focuses on driving pricing discipline, optimizing utilization, and ensuring financial robustness in an activity where scale, efficiency, and subcontracting management are critical.

You will play a key role in ensuring margin sustainability, operational alignment, and financial discipline across a fast-paced and commercially driven business.

Role Purpose

To safeguard and enhance margin performance by driving pricing rigor, monitoring utilization and efficiency, and ensuring that operational actions translate into measurable financial results.

Key Responsibilities

A. Pricing & Margin Management

  • Ensure strong pricing discipline across all service lines.
  • Monitor margin performance at service and client level.
  • Identify and address sources of margin leakage, including pricing gaps, subcontracting costs, and travel expenses.

B. Utilization & Operational Efficiency

  • Track and analyze utilization rates of auditors and inspectors.
  • Support initiatives aimed at reducing non-billable time and optimizing travel patterns.
  • Provide insights to improve productivity and cost-effectiveness across teams.

C. Operational Steering & Cost Control

  • Validate that operational savings and transformation initiatives translate into financial impact.
  • Monitor subcontracting costs, ensuring alignment with workload and pricing.
  • Oversee intercompany transactions and ensure proper financial treatment.

Required Profile

Experience

  • 8-12+ years in Controlling or Audit.
  • Experience in service-based, high-volume businesses (certification, inspection, consulting, or similar) is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in pricing analysis, margin management, and cost structure optimization.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of service economics and subcontracting models.

Soft Skills

  • Strong business orientation with the ability to challenge and support operations.
  • Credible and influential communicator, able to explain financial drivers clearly.
  • Natural educator with a collaborative mindset and structured approach.

Languages

  • Fluent English (required).
  • Spanish or Portuguese, depending on the location.
