About the Group/Team
The Sales & Success Supergroup is on a mission to get Canva into the hands of every team, classroom, and business in the world. We partner closely with Enterprise, Education, and Growth teams to drive adoption, retention, and expansion across global markets.
We operate at the intersection of product, revenue, and customer experience - using data to guide strategy, prioritise investments, and unlock scalable growth. As part of this team, you'll help build the data backbone that enables confident decision-making and measurable impact across our GTM motion.
About the Role/Specialty
We're the GTM Data team: a group of analysts, data scientists, and analytics engineers who power the decisions behind Canva's B2B growth. We build the data foundations that help our sales, marketing, and customer success teams understand who to reach, when to reach them, and how to turn that insight into action. From unified lead and account scoring models to attribution frameworks and self-serve analytics infrastructure, the work we do directly shapes how Canva wins in the enterprise market. As Canva scales its B2B business globally, the need for robust, trustworthy data has never been more critical - and analytics engineering sits at the heart of that. We're not just building pipelines; we're building the intelligence layer that powers Canva toward its revenue goals.
As a Senior Analytics Engineer (B3), you'll sit at the crossroads of data engineering and analytics. We build clean, scalable, and reliable data models that empower Sales, Success, Revenue Operations, and Leadership to self-serve insights with confidence.
You'll take ownership of transforming complex, multi-source data (CRM, GTM tool stack, product usage, billing, marketing attribution) into well-documented, production-grade data models. You'll apply analytical judgement to solve complex problems, take new perspectives on existing solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our data ecosystem supports Canva's crazy big goals.
What you'll do (responsibilities)
You'll design, build, and maintain scalable data models that turn raw data from Salesforce, product telemetry, and billing systems into reliable, business-ready assets our teams actually depend on
You'll work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Sales Ops to define and standardize the GTM metrics that matter most: leads, pipeline, adoption, retention, expansion, and beyond
You'll bring analytical rigor to ambiguous problems, improving existing data structures and spotting opportunities to simplify before complexity compounds
You'll own data quality end-to-end - building in automated testing, documentation, and observability so that trust in our data is never in doubt
You'll mentor analysts and partner teams on data modeling standards, helping build a culture of self-serve that reduces bottlenecks and scales with the business
You'll proactively hunt down technical debt, performance drag, and reporting sprawl (and do something about it)
What we're looking for
4-6+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Advanced Analytics. You've built things in production and learned from what broke
Strong SQL and modern data stack experience: Snowflake, dbt, BigQuery, or similar; you know the tools and you know when not to over-engineer
GTM or revenue data experience: you understand the commercial context behind the models you build (lead scoring, pipeline, bookings, onboarding, activation, retention, expansion)
Structured problem-solving: you bring a clear head to ambiguous problems and leave systems better than you found them
Stakeholder communication: you can translate a fuzzy business question into a precise data solution, and explain your choices clearly
Proactive by default: you improve the system that generates the answers, not just the answers themselves
