Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to validate an advanced mixed-signal automotive System-on-Chip.
In this role, you will work directly with silicon in a laboratory environment. You will build automated test solutions, characterize digital and mixed-signal interfaces, and investigate system-level integration issues. You will collaborate closely with design, verification, and system engineering teams to turn measurement results into clear technical conclusions.
What you will do
- Plan and execute post-silicon validation at SoC level
- Validate electrical connectivity, signal integrity, data integrity, and system functionality
- Characterize interfaces such as MIPI D-PHY, Aurora A-PHY, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN FD, UART, OSPI, and GPIO
- Measure and evaluate PLLs, system clocks, ADCs, and sensors
- Perform electrical measurements, including voltage levels, timing margins, jitter, duty cycle, and eye diagrams
- Run structured validation campaigns across process, voltage, and temperature conditions
- Develop reusable test automation using Python or C#
- Debug silicon and system-integration issues using laboratory equipment
- Document test coverage, results, and technical findings with clear traceability
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design and integration issues
What you bring
- A BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
- At least three years of experience in post-silicon or hardware validation
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, SMUs, DMMs, and laboratory measurement setups
- Understanding of digital and mixed-signal interfaces
- Experience with Python or C# for test automation
- Knowledge of signal integrity, timing, and electrical measurements
- A structured approach to debugging and problem-solving
- The ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines
Nice to Have
- Experience with PXI-based test systems
- Experience in automotive semiconductor development
- Knowledge of PLL characterization or high-speed interface testing
- Familiarity with validation coverage and requirements traceability
- Experience in ISO-based or quality-driven engineering environments
What success looks like
-
You will contribute to reliable and scalable validation by creating structured test plans, automating repeatable measurements, executing validation campaigns, and delivering clear, traceable reports. Your work will help connect validation requirements, test execution, measurement data, and final conclusions.
Interested in hands-on silicon validation, advanced automotive technology, and building robust test automation? We'd be glad to hear from you.
