Your Mission
As a Modern Coins Expert, you will accelerate the growth of the Modern Coins segment by curating high-performing auctions and shaping the strategic direction of this fast-growing category.
You will combine market expertise, commercial drive, and a strong industry network to strengthen supply, increase revenue, and position the category for sustained growth in a dynamic online marketplace.
What You'll Do
- Curate, review, and validate submitted lots to ensure authenticity, quality, and commercial relevance
- Build and optimise weekly auctions aligned with release calendars, minting trends, and market demand
- Apply data insights to improve pricing, lot selection, conversion, and overall auction performance
- Identify growth segments, supply gaps, and emerging opportunities to shape the category roadmap
- Expand and activate a network of mints, distributors, wholesalers, designers, and collectors to secure strong supply
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to onboard high-potential sellers and support trend-driven campaigns
- Guide sellers in improving listing quality and presentation while managing feedback and disputes professionally
What You'll Bring
- Strong expertise in modern coins, contemporary minting, and bullion innovations, with knowledge of release calendars, production methods, and grading trends
- Proven commercial experience buying and selling coins, ideally within wholesale or retail environments
- Entrepreneurial and trading mindset, with the ability to act quickly on market opportunities
- Active network including mints, authorised distributors, wholesalers, dealers, collectors, and modern coin creators
- Analytical skills and confidence using data to price lots, identify trends, and optimise performance
- Digital fluency and experience working within online marketplace environments
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills, with professionalism in stakeholder management

Our Offices and Way of Working
Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire collaboration. Most Catawikians operate in a hybrid setup, combining office-based and remote work, with a minimum of two days per week in the office, unless a role is explicitly stated as fully remote or fully office-based.
