Job Title: IT Application Owner

Location: Pune, India

Corporate Title: AVP

Role Description

IT Application Owner is responsible for identifying and assessing the current state technological infrastructure for gaps or potential improvements using their knowledge of infrastructure solutions and where industry innovations are in their lifecycles.

Work includes

  • Determining the appropriate technological solutions to balance delivery and compliance
  • Identifying gaps in the current infrastructure solutions and implementing the associated improvements whilst ensuring compliance with technical roadmaps
  • Improving the safety and security of IT Applications, compliance with internal and external standards and operational readiness
  • Supporting the bank's audit function in the remediation of audit points and issues in order to reduce risk
  • Identifying and assessing IT Application risk and implementing the associated technology measures
  • Contributing and assisting the implementation of policy and strategy specific to IT management and Information Security
  • Identifying opportunities to incorporate new technologies/approaches into best practice
  • Support Project Management & Change Execution in delivery of the value and strategic outcomes of their Change BoW that ensures successful transition into the organisation's goals, processes and technologies. Adopting values and principles that follow agreed processes and practices to allow teams to continually improve their performance.
  • Create and align a sustainable change vision for the delivery function - partnering with the Business & Infrastructure areas, building a deep understanding and/or leveraging SME knowledge in order to have a clear understanding of the business outcomes articulate requirements, source and document details on process, metrics and data in order to execute the change mandate
  • Monitoring dependencies across multiple inter-related projects/ products, managing and reporting status of product roadmap and/ or project status, RAID and financial information to support effective decision making
  • Removing blockers to ensure the team is successful and working with end users to ensure successful adoption
  • Developing project/ product & change artefacts during the change lifecycle, e.g., scope, business case, communication, change management and / or training plans, materials and overseeing / monitoring the execution to ensure adoption and minimal disruption of normal business operations
  • •Providing training/mentoring where applicable on various methodologies; including change management, agile, process re-engineering, robotics, project methodologies, and continuous deployment

Your key responsibilities

  • Ensuring the application and release management of DB Investment Services based on the DB IS IT Management & Governance Framework (COBIT 2019)
  • Ensuring the IT compliance of DB Investment Services applications
  • Subject Matter Expert in the respective agile tribes/squads
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the technical lifecycle of DB Investment Services applications, including the preparation of related reports
  • Responsible for meeting all deadlines and obligations in the context of IT compliance (including IT security requirements)
  • Supporting the Agile Product Owner in the respective agile tribes/squads. This includes the creation, prioritization and maintenance of the product backlog of the team.

Your skills and experience

Experience - 10+Years

  • Understands the different approaches to delivering services, the interactions in the lifecycle of their IT applications, and incorporates these approaches into the best practices of the organization
  • Is aware of the security issues in current infrastructure solutions and is aware of where industry innovations are along the maturity cycle.
  • Has extensive knowledge of effective development methods as well as necessary IT guidelines and standards, aimed at the company's risk appetite.
  • Multi-year experience in application/release management
  • Multi-year experience in working in agile teams. Ideally as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
  • Professional experience in the financial industry
