As a Sanction Delegate Officer, you will play a critical role in upholding the Bank's high standards of compliance and risk management related to sanctions‑relevant activities. You will act as a key interface between global sanctions functions and the Swiss organization, ensuring that global policy requirements are effectively implemented, monitored, and adhered to locally.
You will collaborate closely with senior management, KYC/first line of defence teams, AFC partners, and various testing, audit, and regulatory stakeholders. Your expertise will support seamless onboarding and monitoring processes, ensure operational compliance, and strengthen the Bank's integrity and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for sanctions‑related queries for US & EI and support investigations and risk escalations.
- Implement global sanctions policies locally and act as liaison with central policy and sanctions teams.
- Adapt and enhance account‑opening, KYC processes, and related systems in line with sanctions requirements.
- Provide SME support for system improvements, including UAT and business requirement definition.
- Train Front Office and 1st Line of Defence on sanctions topics and policy updates.
- Manage frozen/blocked accounts and coordinate with Regulators.
- Prepare and develop MI, dashboards, and reporting capabilities to monitor sanctions nexus, risk indicators, and overall sanctions exposure.
- Support sanctions‑related audits, reviews, and testing activities.
- Contribute to process, control, and system enhancements to strengthen the sanctions framework.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Sanctions Compliance, including alert handling and investigations.
- Strong knowledge of AFC, sanctions and embargo regulations, and relevant regulatory expectations.
- Experience implementing global policies locally and improving processes and controls.
- System enhancement experience, including defining business and IT requirements.
- Solid project management capabilities to support local implementation of global initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret large datasets; advanced Excel proficiency.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global and local teams.
- Fluent English (spoken and written); German is an advantage.
The successful candidate will be asked to present a recent criminal record.
