Job Description:

Join Deutsche Bank Corporate Bank Payments Technology in Barcelona. As a Senior Technical Functional Analyst, you will own functional and technical design for critical mainframe payment systems, working autonomously and supporting developers in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements from end users and translate them into clear functional and technical solutions.
• Design technical specifications for mainframe developments (COBOL / CICS / DB2) and support developers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Define test strategies autonomously, create and execute test cases, and coordinate production deployments.
• Act as a key technical-functional contact point, resolving design, environment and functional questions from developers.
• Ensure stability, quality and precision in highly sensitive and critical payment systems, working effectively under pressure.

Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience with mainframe technologies, including COBOL, CICS and DB2, in complex production environments.
• Strong background as a senior functional analyst, able to work autonomously
• Proven experience designing technical solutions, test strategies and supporting production go‑lives in critical systems.
• High attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility and ability to perform reliably in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken, for daily collaboration with global teams and stakeholders.
