The Opportunity

Primary Objectives

Support the management of the firm's regulatory and commercial risks associated with New Business Intake (NBI). Support the management of Client and Matter data through the matter lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the matter team to ensure new transactions are set up optimally to meet both external client and legal requirements and internal reporting/billing requirements.

  • Assistance with opening of new clients/matters and generation of matter numbers

  • Monitor the setup of clients/matters to ensure compliance with the regulations and billing/rates requirements, liaising where relevant with the Business Finance, Risk Management and Tax Teams.

  • Actioning changes to clients and matters as requested by matter teams

  • Assistance with the setup of eBilling clients

  • Using the information held within the Practice Management system to assist internal clients (lawyers/secretaries) by responding to their enquiries

  • Liaising with the other New Business Intake teams to ensure a joined up and efficient process for the fee earners and PA's.

  • Identify process improvements to the internal NBI Matter Management processes

  • Ad hoc project support for the NBI team globally

Skills / Experience

  • Educated to degree level

  • Excellent research and analytical skills.

  • Good commercial awareness.

  • Ability to prioritise workload.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal, written and face to face communication skills.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.

  • An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
