This role is critical to ensuring ICEYE can reliably deliver complex Ground Station and ISR solutions to our customers. By orchestrating materials, services, and external capacity, the Supply Chain Category Manager, Ground Station & ISR, turns customer commitments into operational reality.

By shaping and managing the supply base for electronics, mechanical hardware, software, and ground-station-related services, this role directly protects delivery schedules, quality, and cost. It also ensures we can adapt quickly to customer-specific requirements and configuration changes, maintaining readiness and resilience across our satellite ground station and ISR programs.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Execution Management

  • Lead and develop a supply chain team for Ground Station and ISR customer programs.
  • Set execution priorities based on sales orders, customer schedules, and delivery commitments.
  • Maintain workflows for hardware/software procurement, service sourcing, and provider coordination.
  • Coach the team on disciplined execution, supplier follow-through, and effective escalation.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management in line with ICEYE expectations.

2. Customer-Driven Engineering & Configuration Support

  • Serve as the supply chain interface for customer configurations, interfaces, and delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering to translate customer changes into practical sourcing actions.
  • Read technical documentation to ensure accurate procurement and service alignment.
  • Keep sourcing plans, supplier approvals, and schedules updated with engineering changes.
  • Contribute to build and deployment readiness reviews for Ground Station and ISR systems.

3. Sales Order & Supply Chain Execution

  • Own end-to-end supply chain execution for customer sales orders, covering:
  • Electronic components and subsystems for Ground Station and ISR platforms
  • Mechanical assemblies, enclosures, racks, cabling, and installation hardware
  • Ground station services, capacity reservations, and operational support
  • Align procurement and service activation with customer timelines and commitments.
  • Guide priorities when demand conflicts arise, escalating critical tradeoffs.
  • Ensure accurate execution and tracking in ERP and related systems, including costs and status.

4. Supplier & Ground Station Service Provider Management

  • Manage operational and commercial relationships with hardware suppliers and ground station providers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with ground station partners, including:
  • Data packages, throughput, and capacity commitments
  • Service availability, pricing, and SLAs
  • Defined escalation mechanisms
  • Track supplier and provider performance against delivery, quality, and service targets.
  • Drive expediting, schedule recovery, and service changes to protect customer deliveries.

5.Cross-Functional Alignment & Customer Delivery

  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations to align requirements and timelines.
  • Communicate material status, service readiness, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Join order reviews, delivery tracking, and customer readiness forums.
  • Present supply chain execution status in internal and customer meetings when needed.

6. Risk Management & Operational Continuity

  • Identify and manage risks in component availability, long-lead items, service capacity, export controls, and customer specifics.
  • Pursue alternate suppliers, service providers, or delivery approaches to protect commitments.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Continuously improve execution processes for better reliability, responsiveness, and cost control.

Requirements

What we're looking for

Must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 6-9 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or operations roles supporting technically complex products or services, including people management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technically complex systems, including interpretation of BOMs, specifications, interfaces, and configuration-controlled hardware and services.
  • Experience executing customer orders that combine physical hardware with externally provided services, capacity, or infrastructure.
  • Experience operating in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments (e.g., export controls, customer-specific regulatory requirements, or government-related programs)
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, particularly with service and infrastructure partners.
  • Ability to work across engineering, sales, and operations in customer-driven technical environments.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with satellite ground stations (hardware and/or services), ISR systems, RF technologies, telecommunications infrastructure, or data services.
  • Familiarity with contracting for capacity-based services, data packages, or usage-based pricing models.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and service providers across multiple regions and regulatory environments..
  • ERP and order management system experience.
  • Professional certifications (APICS, PMP, Six Sigma) a plus.
