What is the objective of this project?

We are looking for a Senior SAP MRO Functional Consultant to join our team in Madrid (hybrid model> 2 days peer week). The selected individual will participate in strategic projects within the aerospace sector, leading functional definition, process design, and the deployment of SAP solutions related to Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO).

This role requires autonomy, strong analytical skills, and an end‑to‑end understanding of complex industrial processes. Strong programming skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze, model, and optimize MRO processes within SAP S/4HANA environments

Lead functional workshops with technical teams and business stakeholders

Configure SAP modules related to MRO (Plant Maintenance, Logistics, Procurement, etc.)

Develop functional documentation and specifications for ABAP development

Coordinate functional testing (SIT, UAT) and manage defects

Support data migration activities and validation of data models

Ensure SAP solutions comply with aerospace industry standards and regulations.

Support operational teams during deployment and go‑live phases.

What profile we are looking for?

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or similar

SAP S/4HANA certification (preferably PM)

Experience in: 8-10 years of experience:

As a SAP PM/MRO functional consultant participation in at least two end‑to‑end implementation projects in MRO or industrial maintenance

Participation in at least two end‑to‑end implementation projects in MRO or industrial maintenance.

Experience in highly regulated technical environments (aerospace, defense, energy, transportation...

Proven experience in functional design, testing, and deployment support.

Knowledge in:

Strong command of SAP S/4HANA in MRO environments.

Advanced experience with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance).

Functional knowledge of supporting modules: MM, QM, PP, FI/CO.

Ability to interpret and validate ABAP developments (user exits, BAPIs, BADIs).

Familiarity with SAP‑BW / SAP‑Analytics integration.

Hands‑on experience configuring maintenance orders, BOMs, notifications, and planning.

Knowledge of integration with engineering systems or CMMS platforms (preferred)

Soft Skills

Clear, assertive communication skills suitable for business and technical teams.

Ability to work in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments.

Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).

Analytical mindset and problem‑solving orientation.

Proactive, autonomous approach with strong ownership of deliverables.

Understanding of regulated industrial environments (aerospace is a plus
