JetBrains is an international software development company. Since 2000, we've built developer tools trusted by more than 15 million users worldwide, and 88 Fortune Global Top 100 companies are our customers. We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to drive finance-related and company-wide strategic initiatives, while also playing a key role in strengthening our community of project managers (PMs). In this role, you'll not only lead complex projects but also help create alignment, consistency, and shared learning among PMs - acting as a primus inter pares (first among equals) rather than a formal manager. This role does not include line management responsibilities.

What you'll do

Project management

• Lead multiple large and complex projects, often in parallel.
• Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders (both business and technical, internal and external).
• Facilitate discussions between business and IT teams.
• Run steering committees and support decision-making processes.
• Define and maintain project scope, timelines, stakeholders, and budgets.
• Own project communication, status reporting, and escalations.
• Keep project documentation accurate and up to date.

PM community coordination

• Act as a coordination point within the project manager community.
• Help align projects on dependencies, approaches, and timelines.
• Support collaboration and collective problem-solving among PMs.

Framework and best practices

• Promote consistent and pragmatic use of the project management framework.
• Help PMs interpret and apply standards in real-life scenarios.
• Identify gaps or improvement opportunities and feed them back to PMO governance.

Peer support and enablement

• Be a go-to person for other PMs for guidance and escalation.
• Support less experienced PMs through coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Encourage continuous learning and improvement within the community.

What we expect

• Proven experience in project and program management.
• A bachelor's degree in business, a technical field, or a related discipline.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
• The ability to explain complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A solid technical background (e.g. software implementation, configuration, or similar).
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, high-performing team.
• Familiarity with project tracking, collaboration, and standard office tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.  

Nice to have

• Experience in IT project management in the finance domain.
• Experience with large-scale or data-heavy environments (big data).

• You're one of the project managers - not above them.
• You report to the Transformation Office Lead (same as other PMs).
• The role is based on experience and credibility, not hierarchy.
