Job Description

The SMB Sales Lead (Sales Development Representative) plays a key role in expanding our sales pipeline by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers. This role is responsible for creating meaningful opportunities for our Account Executives by conducting outbound prospecting, assessing customer needs, and coordinating introductory meetings. As the first point of contact for many prospects, you will directly contribute to the company's revenue growth and market expansion.

  • Identify and engage potential customers through cold calls, emails, social selling, and other outbound channels
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for key clients, identifying growth opportunities and driving revenue expansion across the portfolio
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of SMB prospects
  • Conduct initial outreach to inbound leads from events, webinars, and marketing-generated activities
  • Understand customer needs, buying intent, and fit based on qualification frameworks (e.g., BANT)
  • Assess budget, decision-making authority, business challenges, and timeline to determine opportunity readiness
  • Schedule and coordinate discovery meetings between qualified prospects and Account Executives
  • Communicate customer insights and context clearly to the Sales team
  • Follow up prospects to ensure meeting attendance and maintain engagement
  • Accurately document all prospect interactions in CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot
  • Maintain consistent activity logs including calls, emails, and outreach performance
  • Ensure lead data accuracy and alignment with internal sales processes
