Mission

Configuration & Documentation Controller for MIURA 5 Launch System, within System Engineering department. This position is created to help PLD Space teams building robust and stable processes and associated tools for configuration data and change control, as well as documentation management.

Responsibilities

• Establishment of Configuration Management (CM) Plans for internal activities and critical review of those from subcontractors
• Implementation of CM activities (Configuration Identification, Control, Status Accounting and Verification and Audit), including the generation of procedures or instructions.
• Management of the Change Proposal processes, taking a leading role on the Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and associated configuration committees.
• Maintaining the baseline of all Configuration Items (CIs) of hardware, software, licensing and associated documentation used within the company.
• Write, review, implement and execute policies and procedures regarding document elaboration, approval, storage, sharing, transmission, and destruction.
• Elaborate documentation templates for technical and other type of documents.
• Ensures security of system and integrity of master documents by implementing document and system access rights and revision controls.
• Ensures company complies with applicable laws and regulations regarding data security and document management.
• Maintains current knowledge of best practices and developments in document management technologies and techniques through participation in Program Review meetings.

Required Knowledge

• Technical Bachelors degree.
• At least 5 years of related experience required.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and standards in configuration management (ECSS, ISO 9001, ISO10007).
• Microsoft Office advanced level.
• Knowledge of collaborative working tools.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in technical and programmatic areas.
• Experience in interfacing with subcontractors.
