Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Engineer

Your Mission

Supporting the Puratos commitments: Better Planet, Better Life, and Better Health
Implementing and continuously improving Puratos Turkey HSE Management system and leading the occupational safety, health and sustainability culture transformation to ensure excellence
Continuously improve systems based on benchmarking, reapplication, audit results, incident investigations, and business/process changes.
Ensuring required HSE trainings at the company in order to create safety culture and increase the environmental awareness
Developing and conducting internal HSE assessments/audits including tracking and reporting corrective action status
Reviewing and reporting all incident, safety observations and near miss reports, investigating root causes, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance relative to safety
Monitoring new legislation as it relates to safety and environment and both Turkish and International standards/regulations and translating them into practical action plans
Reporting and interpretation of monthly and annual safety and environmental data
Ensuring the wastewater treatment plant and waste management are carried out in accordance with the regulations, making the necessary controls
Managing HSE related contractors
Examining working conditions and implementing improvement actions on working areas, monitoring health and wellbeing of employees
Performing job safety analysis (JSA) and risk assessments for all new processes, equipment, and projects.
Leading HSE projects by integrating HSE requirements into design, construction, installation, and commissioning of new or revamped facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Acting as a professional sustainability reference and point of contact.
Plan, execute, and monitor Health&Safety and Environment Pillars activities to ensure factory capability deployment in OpX programme
Implement and sustain compliance with legal requirements and standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.

What we expect from you

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering/Science with min. 3 years of experience in safety or environment related discipline
Extensive expertise in occupational health, safety, and environmental management; familiarity with wastewater treatment processes is considered an advantage
Advanced knowledge in Risk Assessment
Knowledge of LOTO and Machinery Safety (legal and BIC solutions)
Experience with continuous improvement systems/tools/methods
Ability to implement and sustain ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards
B or C Class Safety Specialist Certificate from Ministry of Labour
Excellent change management, team, and time management skills
Strong problem-solving, investigation, and analytical thinking skills
Military service completed for male candidates
Business fluent English
