Are you someone who enjoys making data actually work - not just moving it around? :))

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data team and take ownership of building reliable pipelines and clean, scalable data models. You'll help turn raw data into something the business can truly rely on, working closely with analytics and engineering to make sure things are simple, fast, and trustworthy!

Must have skills:

  • Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience building analytical data models (fact/dimension design, normalisation vs. denormalisation)

  • Experience designing scalable data architecture patterns across staging, transformation, and reporting layers

  • Proven experience working with modern cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar)

  • Experience designing and maintaining ELT transformations using tools such as Dataform, dbt, or similar frameworks

  • Proven experience building and orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools

  • Experience working with data ingestion tools such as Airbyte or comparable EL solutions

  • Experience implementing data validation, testing, and monitoring to ensure reliable analytics workflows

  • Experience working with Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices for data projects

  • Practical experience using Python for data pipeline automation and tooling

Bonus points for:

  • Experience specifically with BigQuery and its performance optimisation strategies (partitioning, clustering, cost control)

  • Familiarity with streaming or event-driven pipelines

  • Exposure to infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)

  • Experience defining shared metric definitions and modeling standards across teams.

  • Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to data platform best practices.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and maintaining scalable data models to support analytics and reporting

  • Owning and ensuring reliable end-to-end data flow from ingestion to analytics consumption

  • Ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability across the data ecosystem

  • Optimising warehouse performance and managing cost efficiency

  • Collaborating with Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the data platform, standards, and best practices

Location: Tallinn, working hybrid - 4 in the office and a day remote.
