Intro

We believe the future of work lies in effective AI-human collaboration, not in purely autonomous systems operating on their own.

That's why we're building Tendem AI - the first hybrid AI+human agent, an Uber for knowledge work. We take in a client's request and use an AI workflow supervised and refined by human experts to produce high-quality deliverables. It is positioned as an alternative to both pure AI assistants and freelance platforms, aiming to give the speed of AI with the reliability and accountability of experienced professionals.

At the heart of Tendem is a hybrid LLM+human execution agent. It breaks down tasks, plans, executes, knows its own limits, selects an expert from the Toloka marketplace, and brings them into the loop. The agent and the expert work in a tight feedback cycle - passing drafts back and forth, checking each other's work. Tendem understands what's happening inside the task, manages it end-to-end, and is accountable for the final outcome. This is no longer traditional client-freelancer matching only.

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Technical Leader to head this direction. This hands-on role combines deep technical expertise in AI/ML with proven leadership abilities to drive the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge generative AI solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery of innovative, scalable, and high-performing AI products.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Head of Product to drive strategic product development
• Lead end-to-end product development: backend, frontend, AI agents
• Be deeply hands-on into development, research and implement quick MVPs on their own
• Deeply understand and evolve architecture, find proper balance between new features and infrastructural tasks
• Refine requirements of big projects, allocate development resources
• Constantly invest into speed of the team, maintain frequent product updates
• Grow, lead and mentor an engineering team (people management)

Qualifications

• Solid background as lead product engineer, senior technology leader, engineering manager, or CTO
• Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams (preferrably 10+ people)
• Wide knowledge in technologies, good understanding how modern frontend, backend, and AI stack work
• Proven experience of delivering SaaS products in fast-paced, agile environments
• Hands-on experience in building AI/ML products
• Experience in scaling the product 10-100x in a fast growing startup environment would be beneficial
• Lean organizational design understanding and agentic approach to development automation would be beneficial
