Job Description
The Stations Architectural Coordinator will support the Stations Technical Manager in developing and delivering high-quality architectural design solutions for infrastructure projects. The role involves managing design packages, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensuring that project deliverables meet established standards, deadlines, and budget requirements. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 3+ years of experience in architectural design and project coordination within infrastructure or transportation projects.
Support the Stations Technical Manager in architectural design and delivery of EJV Design Packages according to the agreed schedule.
Ensure complete interdisciplinary coordination, verifying all design elements are fully defined, free of gaps, and ready for estimating.
Align architectural designs with project requirements, regulatory approvals, and the construction team's strategies and preferences.
Coordinate with external stakeholders (municipalities, transit authorities, government agencies, property owners) to resolve design issues, manage timelines, and ensure quality, cost, and safety standards are met.
Manage commercial aspects, including monthly invoicing and tracking of project-related costs.
Oversee and execute quality review processes for design submittals, ensuring compliance with project standards and requirements.
Utilize architectural software for modeling, drafting, and clash detection to support design and coordination efforts.
Contribute to problem-solving and propose effective design solutions to address project challenges.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Station Technical Manager.
Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
3+ years of professional experience in architectural design, project coordination, or related roles. Experience in infrastructure or transportation projects preferred.
Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and building materials.
Proven experience in interdisciplinary design coordination across multiple design and engineering disciplines.
Familiarity with project management concepts, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Strong technical writing skills for preparing and reviewing project documentation, reports, and submittals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify gaps, ensure design accuracy, and propose solutions.
Proficient in architectural design software, 3D modeling, and clash detection tools.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and enforce high levels of coordination.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Total compensation for this role includes an annual salary in the range of $75k- $110k depending on working experience, education, and certifications, benefits, vacation pay, sick pay, training , and RSP matching contribution.
