Job Description
The Project
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.
The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.
The Role
As a Peggy / Utility Worker you support site crews to keep work areas clean, safe, and productive. You help maintain facilities, manage site hygiene, and provide general labour support across the civil construction work fronts. This role suits someone who works well with teams, follows safety expectations, and takes pride in keeping the site running smoothly. Reporting to the supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:
Adhere to site safety rules at all times
Report hazards and support safe work practices
Keep crib rooms, offices, and amenities clean
Clear rubbish and maintain tidy work areas
Restock consumables and supplies
