We are looking for a GIS Consultant with strong expertise in geospatial data management, spatial analysis, and GIS infrastructure design. You will manage the full geospatial data lifecycle, from data modeling and quality control to advanced spatial analytics and web GIS solutions.

The role focuses on Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI), INSPIRE/OGC standards, spatial databases (PostGIS, Oracle Spatial), and GIS automation with Python or R, supporting strategic decision-making within an institutional environment.

🔹 The Project 🔹

You will join a high-impact initiative focused on the development, maintenance, and optimization of a Geospatial Data Infrastructure supporting public policy and strategic decision-making.

The project includes:

• Integration and maintenance of heterogeneous geospatial data sources
• Data quality control and validation processes
• Advanced spatial analysis and decision-support modeling
• Publication of interoperable OGC-compliant web map services (WMS/WFS)
• Automation of GIS workflows and large-scale data processing
• Technical documentation and methodological support

You will work in a highly technical, standards-driven environment focused on interoperability, data quality, and efficiency.

🔹 Responsibilities 🔹

Design and maintain Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI)

Manage, model, and integrate geospatial datasets

Perform advanced spatial analysis to support decision-making

Implement data quality control and validation workflows

Develop and automate GIS processes using Python/R scripting

Publish interoperable web map services (OGC standards)

Produce technical documentation and support project coordination

Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

🔹 Stack & Requirements 🔹

Spatial Databases: PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, advanced SQL

Spatial Analysis: Geo-statistics, spatial modeling, remote sensing

Programming: Python, R (GIS automation & tool development)

Web GIS: HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, Leaflet, D3.js

Standards: OGC (WMS, WFS), ISO, INSPIRE

Big Data: Hadoop, MapReduce, Google Earth Engine

Experience: 6+ years in geospatial data management & analysis

Education: Degree in Geomatics, Geography, Computer Science, Data Science or similar

Language: English (C level - CEFR)
