Global Intercompany Accountant

Summary of the role:
As a Senior Global Intercompany Accountant, you will play a key role in managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations across the Amadeus Group's global entities. You will partner closely with local accounting teams worldwide, providing guidance and ensuring consistency and accuracy in intercompany processes.
Working at the Amadeus corporate office in Madrid and reporting to the Global Intercompany Manager, you will actively participate in defining and improving global intercompany processes.

In This Role, You'll:

• Prepare and enter intercompany invoices, payments, and settlements for corporate Amadeus entities, ensuring precision and timeliness
• Review and resolve issues in intercompany account reconciliations promptly, maintaining accuracy
• Coordinate with intercompany counterparts to reconcile differences and eliminate balances during consolidation, ensuring alignment
• Support Global Intercompany Manager with global intercompany process definition, suggesting improvements
• Deliver analyses and reports on intercompany balances, offering valuable insights to internal stakeholders
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to intercompany transactions
• Ensure intercompany transactions are recorded accurately for acquisition, mergers, and divestitures
• Liaise with auditors, participate in annual accounts preparations, and maintain compliance with Group policies and accounting standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy in intercompany processes
• Create and maintain intercompany master data to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records
• Continuously assess and enhance automated processes to drive efficiency and scalability
• Provide guidance, training, and support to local intercompany accountants, fostering financial excellence

About The Ideal Candidate:

• University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance, preferably in accounting with intercompany activities in an international or cross-cultural environment
• Knowledge of international accounting principles and standards (IAS, IFRS), financial reporting, and internal control processes
• Proficient in MS Excel and SAP S4Hana; SAP BPC a plus
• Proficient in English (both verbal and written); another language is a plus
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to process optimization
