GLOBAL MARKETING EXCELLENCE SENIOR MANAGER

MAIN ROLE

Lead and shape the Global Marketing Excellence agenda, defining standards, capabilities and ways of working that elevate commercial performance across the organization.

The role leads the design of global marketing standards and methodologies, co-leads selected cross-functional transformation initiatives, and influences implementation across regions and brands through governance forums and capability frameworks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership & Marketing Excellence Roadmap

  • Define and own the Global Marketing Excellence roadmap aligned with commercial strategy and portfolio priorities.
  • Act as senior sparring partner to the Commercial VP and Global Marketing leadership on marketing capability and transformation topics.
  • Represent Marketing Excellence in leadership forums, ensuring strategic alignment and visibility.
  • Translate commercial priorities into structured marketing standards, frameworks and governance models.

Launch Excellence & Go-to-Market Discipline

  • Define and institutionalize a structured Launch Excellence methodology
  • Establish launch readiness standards, governance milestones and accountability frameworks.
  • Ensure methodological alignment across Marketing, Medical and Market Access in launch planning.
  • Monitor launch readiness maturity through structured capability assessments and KPIs.

Operating Model & Capability Building

  • Build and scale global marketing capability frameworks (brand strategy, lifecycle management, omnichannel excellence).
  • Develop structured playbooks, tools and governance mechanisms to ensure consistent implementation across affiliates.
  • Drive capability maturity through training initiatives, structured reviews and best practice scaling.
  • Continuously evolve ways of working to increase quality, speed and consistency at global level.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance

  • Influence senior stakeholders in a global matrix organization through governance forums and structured alignment mechanisms.
  • Ensure cross-functional coordination between Marketing, Medical, Digital, Market Access and Events where marketing standards apply.
  • Facilitate decision-making clarity in areas requiring cross-functional alignment.

Performance, Metrics & Impact Assessment

  • Define Marketing Excellence KPIs focused on launch readiness, capability maturity and marketing effectiveness, focused on Marketing Excellence ecosystem (frameworks and methodologies).
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into structured recommendations for leadership decision-making.
  • Support the development of robust business cases for strategic capability investments.

Events & Operations Strategic Oversight

  • Provide strategic direction and framework alignment to the Global Events & Operations Manager.
  • Ensure events governance and execution models are aligned with Marketing Excellence standards.
  • Embed launch and brand strategy principles into global congress and advisory board frameworks.

Direct Reporting: Events & Operations Manager

Job relationships:

  • Internal: Commercial SLT, Global and local marketing and medical teams, Finance, GPA, BICE, P&MA Managers, Digital manager, other relevant crossfunctional roles in the company: regulatory, PV, Supply, etc.
  • External: Collaborates with external training providers, marketing consultants, and benchmarking partners.

JOB PROFILE

Qualifications and professional experience

  • University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences or related field.
  • MBA or Master's in Marketing / Commercial Strategy strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic marketing, brand leadership, commercial excellence or capability development within pharma, biotech or healthcare.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and leading global marketing excellence or commercial capability agendas.
  • Strong background in launch excellence, strategic brand planning, omnichannel and lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional and cross-country initiatives in matrix organizations.
  • Experience designing and scaling capability-building programs with measurable business impact.
  • Solid understanding of marketing performance measurement, KPIs and impact assessment.
  • Exposure to change management, operating model evolution and process governance.
  • Experience in consultancy will be valued.
