About the Role

As an Inventory Analyst, you'll play a key role in keeping our stock accurate, reliable, and well‑managed across our Waitematā site and external warehouse partners. You'll be the go‑to person for investigating discrepancies, improving stock processes, and ensuring our inventory data is always up to date. You'll work closely with Production, Planning, Warehousing and Quality teams to keep everything running smoothly, reduce risk, and support strong operational decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse daily inventory reports to ensure stock accuracy and compliance
  • Investigate stock discrepancies quickly, find root causes, and help prevent issues from recurring
  • Coordinate and manage cycle counts, analyse variances, and make system adjustments
  • Keep inventory data accurate by completing regular stock maintenance
  • Identify system or process issues and support corrective actions
  • Provide insights and feedback to improve forecasting and stock performance
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including TPM
  • Track and help reduce damaged stock and ullage through accurate reporting

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years' experience in inventory management or stock control in a complex environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot patterns, risks, and improvements
  • Experience using inventory systems and reporting tools (Power BI or similar)
  • Confidence working with multiple teams and partners to solve stock challenges
  • Great communication skills - you can explain risks and priorities clearly
  • A proactive, self‑driven approach and the ability to work independently
