Annual Compensation Range: $85,000.00 to $105,000.00
Minimum Requirements
University Degree and/or College Diploma specializing in Human Resources Management.
4-6 years progressive human resources experience
Certified Human Resource Professional designation or in process of obtaining
Knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles, and familiar with relevant employment legislation (i.e. ESA, Human Rights, Occupational Health & Safety Act)
Excellent communication, mediation, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Proficient Microsoft office, Outlook, HRIS Software (Workday)
Job Specific Responsibilities

To remain current on all aspects of human relations, wage management, manpower planning, recruitment and selection strategies, health and safety, environmental, and training and development issues or trends and provide support, advise, or influence where appropriate/necessary, to all leaders regarding policies, procedures, work practices where there is the potential to negatively impact labour relations, quality of work life, or compliance to established standards (legislation, divisional, corporate)
Effectively ensure all human resources services are provided at the highest level of quality and timeliness while always maintaining confidentiality
Develop and foster strong working relationships with all employees, department managers, Management Team members, direct reports, committees and teams so each will feel comfortable seeking support for HR related issues, while reinforcing the Open-Door Process (ODP) and confidentiality
Influence the development, implementation of, or changes, to labour relation strategies necessary to foster the Magna Employee's Charter Principles and preserve a strong cultural foundation, quality work life environment within the division and drive any resulting programs or strategies as assigned
Establish and maintain effective policies and procedures for the division to ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees, including maintaining the Employee Handbook and overseeing all matters pertaining to the application of hiring and advancements, progressive discipline, termination, lay-off or recalls, health and safety, or any other employee relations issue that may arise
Facilitate open communication to all employees using various methods including monthly Employee Meetings, presentations, postings and other effective approaches
Establish and implement HR Department key performance indicators, benchmarked for continuous improvement
Attend meetings necessary to ensure ongoing understanding of quality of work life and labour relations' issues including Health and Safety committees, Advocate, Fairness Committee, Plant meetings, Production meetings, etc.
Conduct accident/incident investigations
Onboarding and offboarding
Provides training, coaching, administer training records
Supports progressive discipline process
Maintains team member personnel files.
Addresses team member concerns with respect to the Employee's Charter.
Supports the development, interpretation and continual updating of Company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook.
Acts as a resource/consultant to leadership.
Supports in the development, execution, and rollout of projects and programs.
Manages all employee communication boards, ensuring ongoing updates and visual clarity.
Assists with employee engagement initiatives and organize all company social activities.
