🤓 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Director of Patient Management & Clinical Operations is a key member of the TRIAL Management team responsible for the strategic leadership and operational excellence of the Patient Management Unit. This role drives the vision, strategy, and execution of patient recruitment, retention, and engagement across all MEDSIR clinical trials. This position reports to Chief Trial Officer (CTO).

🎯 HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

Strategic Leadership & Vision:

· Define and implement the long-term strategy for patient management, ensuring alignment with company goals, division KPIs and regulatory requirements.

· Lead necessary change initiatives to execute the strategy and enhance patient management processes and outcomes.

Executive Decision-Making:

· Make critical decisions regarding outsourcing versus in-house operations, balancing risk, cost, quality, and strategic impact.

· Oversee the selection and management of external vendors for the Monitoring activities in collaboration with the Procurement department and follow up for performance reviews.

Team Leadership & Development:

· Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of the 3 different sub-units within Patient Management.

· Provide leadership and oversight to the team, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.

· Balance team workloads, adjusting resources as needed across different trials.

Operational Excellence:

· Oversee planning, execution, and monitoring of patient recruitment and retention strategies.

· Oversee strategies for patient recruitment in collaboration with the team, and Marketing and Communication team (when needed).

· Ensure timely achievement of trial milestones and deliverables.

Patient Management Budget Ownership:

· Support the CTO in developing, managing, and optimize the Patient Management Unit yearly budget.

· Ensure financial discipline and alignment with strategic priorities.

Risk Management:

· Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational, regulatory, and patient-related risks.

· Ensure robust escalation and resolution processes for identified risks.

Stakeholder Engagement:

· Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, regulatory bodies, and key partners regarding patient management activities.

· Represent the Patient Management Unit at board and external meetings.

Compliance & Quality:

· Ensure full adherence to GCP, ICH guidelines, company SOPs, and all applicable regulatory requirements.

· Proactively take part and contribute to quality improvement.

· Lead audit responses and continuous improvement initiatives for MEDSIR studies monitoring activities.


💪WHAT DO WE VALUE FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY?

  • A university degree in life sciences, clinical research, or related field.

  • 8 -10 years of experience in CT, at least 3 in managing teams.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated executive-level leadership, with a proven ability to drive organizational change, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver results in complex environments.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic clinical environment.

  • Strong assertiveness and confidence in decision-making, especially regarding strategic resource allocation and risk management.

  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a small and dynamic workplace environment.

  • Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute support on projects on time and on budget.

  • Deep understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines, regulatory requirements.

  • Availability to travel as required.

  • Able to multitask and prioritize key tasks.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.

  • Knowledge of AI tools and digital Technologies to drive Clinical Research Innovation in the coming years.
