We are hiring an ISD (Industry Solutions Delivery) Business Manager for the Netherlands and Europe South. This is a critical role partnering with the Netherlands and Europe South ISD Leaders, their teams, and the Areas, to establish and drive alignment on key priorities and initiatives. This role is accountable for several critical functions including the Business Strategy, Planning and Business Performance, the Rhythm of Business (ROB) and Operational & Financial Excellence, and the People and culture agenda for ISD in both Areas.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical/problem solving skills, demonstrated success in driving complex strategies and projects, excellent ability to drive cross-organizational relationships, an ability to lead through influence, proven project management skills and be a motivated self-starter. Responsibilities
Business Planning and Execution
Lead the development and execution of strategic plans for Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD), ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and driving critical business outcomes through robust operational rhythms and close partnership with the Area Leadership Teams, finance and planning functions.
Orchestrate cross-functional strategy planning and implementation, advising senior leaders on industry and company insights to accelerate organisational transformation, while integrating local market needs and turning into an actionable strategy.
Oversee the AI-first initiatives, including prioritizing the Frontier readiness activities, developing strategic workforce plans for the Areas, and ensuring strong adoption of the new Delivery AI-led processes and tools. Own the change enablement for the Areas.
Advise senior leaders on industry and company insights and recommendations on strategic decisions to accelerate the organisation transformation. Provide clarity in ambiguous situations, enabling effective prioritisation and decision-making for leaders across the organisation, and proactively anticipate business trends to recommend actions aligned with organisational priorities.
Lead Operational & Financial Excellence
Manage the P&L for the Area practice with a focus on Consulting Revenue & Margin, Utilisation, Resource Mix and adoption of AI-led tools. Drive the commercial cloud growth (Azure consumption, Monthly active usage, Net new revenue for ISD), through a disciplined rhythm of business. Foster exceptional rigour on critical operational rhythms including budget cascade, forecast accuracy (+/-5%), revenue outlook, and scoreboard implementation in partnership with finance and planning leads.
Facilitate proactive action planning focussed on quality assurance, collaborating to manage high-risk delivery status, reducing cost overrun analysis, and integrating top deal status into business reviews. Champion compliance on behalf of both organizations, ISD Netherlands and Europe South.
Lead and executes the Area rhythm of business (ROB), driving business planning, governance and reporting while setting best practice for strategy implementation.
Provide business intelligence on trends of our delivery and predicts business outcomes to make recommendations aligned to org priorities, decisions, and action plans.
People & Culture
Build and leverage people and culture initiatives to drive Area specific requirements including building organisational capability to drive change and meet evolving customer and partner needs. Establishing a learning culture and driving Frontier capability development and skilling as a core rhythm.
Own the Area People Rhythms as a core part of the ISD ROB. Create an inclusive culture that enables employees to thrive through collaboration and diversity. Partner with the Area Leadership Teams and HR on all core people rhythms including promoting One Microsoft events, talent, learning, diversity and inclusion, impact and hiring.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field AND significant years relevant work experience OR equivalent experience.
Relevant years team leadership or people management experience either with or without direct reports.
Proven track with project/portfolio management
Experience with P&L and Cloud consumption performance, including revenue, margin, utilisation, and forecasting for ideally a consulting practice or Cloud services business
Proven experience leading large‑scale business planning and operational rhythms (ROB) at regional or multi‑country level within ideally a large Cloud business, Consulting or Cloud services organisation
