As a Back Office Manager (Cards), based in Paris, you will join our growing Banking Operations team, led by Hery Rakoto, Team Lead Banking Operations.
In this role, you'll play a key part in managing chargeback requests, ensuring operational excellence and financial accuracy within our payments ecosystem.
👩💻🧑💻 As a Back Office Manager (Cards), you will:
• Analyze and manage incoming card payment disputes and chargeback requests (clients disputing their payment for fraud or commercial litigation) with precision and efficiency.
• Foster seamless interactions with cross-functional teams, enhancing communication and collaboration.
• Work closely with external providers to ensure smooth operations and quality standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial and risk management processes.

🤝 About your future manager:
Your manager will be Hery Rakoto, our Team Lead Banking Operations.
• His path? Hery has over 10 years of experience in payments and banking operations. After starting his career in accounting, he moved into the card payments industry at CREACARD SA (PCS Mastercard B2B), where he worked across card operations, KYC/KYB, and card payment project management. He joined Qonto in 2021, where he grew from Back-office Officer to Team Lead. He now leads projects improving scalability, automation, process optimization, KPI tracking, and cross-team collaboration within Qonto's card operations.
• What he can bring to the team? He combines technical mastery of banking operations with proven problem-solving and project management skills. Known for his intellectual curiosity and hands-on leadership, Hery excels at bridging technical complexities with business needs - making him an ideal mentor for team members at all levels.

• Experience: You are a young graduate with a first experience in back-office or Customer Support (internships included), in a banking or finance environment.
• Analytical mindset: You like to dissect complex issues to make data-driven decisions.
• Organization and rigor: Your meticulous attention to detail and superb organizational skills ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
• Fluent in French and English: You can communicate your ideas smoothly and effectively in French and English.
• Team player: You thrive in cross-functional teams and excel at building relationships across departments.
