As an Expert Scientific Writer within our Scientific Engagement & Communications team, you'll lead the creation of high-quality scientific publications and educational content that directly supports Sanofi's mission to bring innovative therapies to patients. You'll collaborate with cross-functional experts, contribute to global medical strategies, and help shape how we communicate science across therapeutic areas.

As an Expert Scientific Writer within the Hub, you will play a key role in developing complex, high-quality scientific and medical content while supporting the broader publication and medical education strategy. You'll also serve as a subject matter expert and mentor within your therapeutic area.

Key responsibilities include

• Independently create advanced scientific content (e.g., manuscripts, abstracts, slide decks, posters) in alignment with publication and educational objectives

• Manage end-to-end development, review, and approval processes using systems like PromoMats/iEnvision

• Ensure content is scientifically accurate, aligned with Good Publication Practices, and compliant with Sanofi and external guidelines

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, to ensure relevance and impact of deliverables

• Provide strategic input into publication planning and content development across assigned therapeutic areas

• Mentor and review work of other writers to ensure consistency, quality, and continuous capability development

• Act as a key point of contact within the Hub for complex content development and therapeutic area expertise

About you

To succeed in this role, you must be confident in independently producing complex scientific content with precision and compliance. You bring a strategic mindset to publication planning and have the ability to translate scientific data into impactful educational materials. You are experienced in navigating approval systems like PromoMats or iEnvision, and are comfortable working in a global, matrixed environment. You collaborate well across functions and geographies and have a proven ability to guide and mentor other writers. Your understanding of the therapeutic landscape and publication best practices allows you to deliver value beyond content creation.

Experience

• 7+ years in scientific/medical content creation in pharma, healthcare, or academia

• At least 4 years in a leadership or mentoring capacity

Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Stakeholder management

• Ability to lead independently and work cross-functionally

Technical

• Deep understanding of scientific writing, therapeutic areas, publication planning, and content development tools/platforms

Education

• Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine

Language

• Excellent written and spoken English

The salary range for this position is :€60.000,00 - €80.000

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
