Terms & Conditions: Full time - (Temporary 9 months)
JOB PURPOSE
This role exists to provide temporary support to the Finance team in the accounting, tax, and treasury activities of Unilever Spain, ensuring that financial records, banking processes, tax obligations, and month-end close activities are executed accurately, within established deadlines, and in compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations. Project management support for initiatives to be implemented during 2026.You'll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters - for people and the planet. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. General Accounting
- Perform and review accounting entries in the ERP system (SAP or others).
- Perform monthly account reconciliations (suppliers, customers, financial accounts, general expenses).
- Support the monthly and annual closing processes.
- Maintain accounting documentation in an orderly and audit-ready manner.
2. Treasury Support
- Manage cash movements, transfers, and payments.
- Follow up on receivables and payables, working with the Credit Control team when required.
- Monitor banking incidents and coordinate their resolution.
3. Banking Management and Relationship with Financial Institutions
- Support the opening, modification, and closure of corporate bank accounts.
- Monitor bank authorizations, digital access, and validation processes.
4. Tax and Fiscal Compliance
- Support the preparation of taxes: VAT, Personal Income Tax, Corporate Income Tax, local taxes, etc.
- Collect and review information required for monthly and annual tax obligations.
- Support internal and external audits, both tax and financial.
5. Annual Accounts and Reporting
- Prepare documentation and extracts for the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Support the preparation of internal financial reports and group reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (local GAAP and Unilever global financial policies).
6. Internal Control and Financial Processes
- Comply with and ensure adherence to internal financial control policies (including SOX, if applicable).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives: automation, standardization, and efficiency.
- Identify and report financial discrepancies or operational risks.
7. Project Management
- Transition from Local to Regional Financial Model (Controlling)
- Map current processes and support the definition of the future operating model.
- Coordinate with local and regional teams to ensure an orderly transition.
- Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in business administration or accounting
- Experience in accounting -2 years
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Power BI)
