We are looking for a Bid Manager to be part of the Engineering team in our Makati Office. This role will report to the Engineering Director, and will have a regional scope, which includes mainly Philippines, but also Thailand and Vietnam.

The Bid Manager (PV/Wind Technology) will be responsible for the technical evaluation of renewable energy projects in the development phase (photovoltaic solar, wind, and other technologies) for projects in Southeast Asian markets. The position leads, coordinates, and supervises the preparation of technical investment reports to ensure that technical, economic and risk analyses are properly structured, documented, and aligned with the company standards. The ultimate goal is to provide a solid foundation for internal investment decision-making and support the successful execution, operation and maintenance of the projects.

Job Description

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams involved in the preparation of technical investment reports.
  • · Coordinate and supervise, together with regional teams where projects are being developed and the Headquarters in Spain, the preparation of technical investment reports, ensuring consistency in standards and the quality of information.
  • Collect and validate inputs from the Business Development department to ensure feasibility of the assessment.
  • Integrate requirements from the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) department, anticipating key aspects of the operational phase.
  • Request, coordinate, and follow up on Engineering and Construction internal deliverables, including:
  • Energy resource assessment (solar, wind, etc.).
  • Conceptual design and quantity estimates (civil and electrical).
  • Risk and contingency analysis.
  • Preliminary planning and estimated scheduling.
  • CAPEX estimation and definition of contracting strategy.
  • Compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Ensure consistency, completeness, and quality of the technical reports guaranteeing compliance with corporate structure and standards.
  • Present, defend, and explain technical report outcomes to internal departments and investment committees.
  • Identify risks, limitations, and technical opportunities in the projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal evaluation methodologies and standards

Required Skills and Competencies

  • EDUCATION: University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law or similar.Training in contracting, purchasing or project management, valued.
  • EXPERIENCE: In purchasing, bidding or contractual support functions in engineering or construction projects. Experience in collaborative environments with technical and legal teams.
  • SKILLS: - Organization, - Attention to detail. - Proactivity, - Teamwork, - Coordination ability
  • SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
  • Languages: English professional level. Spanish is a plus.
  • Tools: - Purchasing ERP (SAP, Oracle or other). - Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Document management systems and internal workflows. Others: - Purchasing cycle and technical bidding processes. - Drafting of contractual documents and specifications. - Comparative analysis of offers. - Basic knowledge of contractual regulations and internal purchasing procedures.
  • 2-3 years of experience in similar functions.
