ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our Quality & Safety Team in Chicago. Our Quality Analyst will analyze and interpret data related to fleet performance, Health & Safety (H&S), and Quality Management Systems. This role will utilize Business Intelligence (BI) platforms to convert complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that help mitigate risk, improve asset uptime, and drive continuous improvement across our portfolio.

  • Trend Analysis: Analyze fleet operating data (SCADA, downtime reports) to identify recurring technical failures or performance degradation.
  • Quality Auditing: Review quality data (non-conformance reports, root cause analyses) to assess the effectiveness of current maintenance and construction standards.
  • Safety Analysis: Analyze H&S incidents, near-misses, hazard recognitions, and audit findings to identify systemic risks and recommend preventative actions.
  • Initiative Prioritization: Develop data-driven frameworks to help leadership prioritize technical upgrades, safety training, or process improvements based on ROI and risk reduction.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with Engineering, Operations, and Safety teams to develop and implement solutions that address identified gaps.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Design and maintain automated BI dashboards (Power BI or equivalent) that provide stakeholders with real-time visibility into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Requisitos del candidato

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within the renewable energy, utility, or industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data and supporting or implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and statistical analysis software; the ability to create data models for consistent integration into the BI tool.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret renewable energy technical documentation (e.g., wind turbine torque specifications, solar inverter fault codes).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and mobile platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate anomalies and identify root causes.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including business writing.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
  • Must be able to pass wind turbine climb and rescue training; must be able to safely wear standard fall-protection harness (maximum weight: 265lbs).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license; must hold or be eligible to hold a U.S. Passport.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) or ASQ Certified Quality Analyst (CQA).
  • Data Visualization: 3+ years of experience building and deploying business-level dashboards, preferably in an energy or utility environment.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Base Pay: $65,000-$85,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications).
  • 10% Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual and company performance).
