WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

Aernnova Engineering Division (AED), an engineering company of the Aernnova group specialized in the design and certification of aerostructures, as part of its growth strategy due to the award of new projects, need to select for its offices in Madrid, Vitoria, Derio, San José dos Campos (Brazil) and the United States, structural stress engineers with the following characteristics:

  • Perform the calculation of structures of any type of complexity, defining the appropriate methods and tools to be used, ensuring the consistence of the calculations and validating the work performed by the team under your responsibility. Aspects to be covered include but are not limited to:
    • Structural strength analysis (tension, compression, bending, etc.).
    • Stability (column buckling, panel buckling, crippling, etc).
    • Analysis of joints (shear, traction, lugs, etc).
    • Analysis of fittings.
    • Analysis of structures in plastic regime.
    • Analysis of buckled structures (diagonal tension, etc).
    • Thermal analysis.
    • Dynamic analysis.
    • Analysis of composite materials.
    • Fatigue analysis and damage tolerance.
  • Generation and exploitation of complex finite element models using the state of the art software in aerospace engineering (Hyperworks, Nastran, ABAQUS)
  • Generation of proposals for weight saving, cost and improvement of performances of the projected products.
  • Generation of the necessary technical documentation to cover the different phases of the projects. (preliminary, detailed, and certification reports, test proposals, analysis of results, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineers with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an aeronautical structure stress engineer specializing in the previous functions.
  • Demonstrable skills in team and project management.
  • Proven ability to defend technical positions in meetings with clients.
  • Complementary skills such as programming experience (Python, etc.) will be valued.
  • Accredited participation in projects for Airbus/Boeing and specific knowledge of the use of tools from these two manufacturers, although work for other main OEMs in the aerospace industry will also be valued.
  • Previous signature delegations by Airbus or Boeing will be valued.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and the development of technical documentation is required.
  • Availability to travel abroad as needed will be valued.
