Transfer Pricing Expert

Position purpose:
The purpose of this position is to proactively support the digital transformation of the global Transfer Pricing Community. With an interprenuarial mind set that acts as the counterpart of the respective GPO for the GBS organization for putting global standards and new digital solutions into operations as well as for providing continuous feedback, own creative ideas & analytical thought processes. The position is both interface and extended workbench for the GPO organization concerning design, maintenance and adherence to global process standards. It is characterized by a high commitment to pursue the ambition of achieving highest standards related to accuracy and reliability with a clear focus on business continuity and compliance.

Tasks:

Managing of all operational aspects related to the Transfer Pricing Life Cycle

• Support the GPO with the development & further enhancement of a prescriptive analytics model for the automated calculation & setting of new transfer prices, mainly with focus on testing & verification activities.
• Workflow initiation, processing & monitoring activities for the alignment of new transfer prices in close alignment with the local Legal Entity Finance Mgr.
• Maintenance of Transfer Prices in the local ERP systems (CORE).
• Creation & maintenance of contract attachments (e.g. annual price lists).
• Deep interest in understanding and analysis of business models

Profitability Monitoring & Quality Assurance Assessments

• Regular monitoring of profitability developments with focus on the identification of inconsistencies, missing allocations & significant changes/ impacts in the country P&L cost structures.
• Analysis of findings, initiation of follow-up activities as well as conduction of data cleansing & housekeeping activities to safeguard a high-quality outcome of the KNIME Segmentation Process.
• Support the GPO organization with the analytical assessment of the data.
• Conduction of internal controls to related processes.
• Year-end margin adjustments calculation.

Further Reporting & Supporting Activities

• Act as a first point of contact for country requests as well as for analytical requests to support the Global Process Owner in the GPG Tax and/ or Functional Lead organization.
• Data collection, verification and provision of customized reports.
  

Project Work

• Provision of continuous feedback regarding process efficiencies.
• Pro-active ideation related to potential process enhancements.
• Support the implementation of improvement measures.

Who you are:

• Degree in Business Administration or Business Informatics with a focus on Accounting/Controlling and/or Taxes, coupled with initial practical experience in these areas.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power Automate, and AI.
• Familiarity with Bayer System Landscape, specifically DataOne/SAP, is an advantageous skill.
• Strong SAP FI/CO/BW/AO and databricks skills.
• In-depth understanding of intercompany value flows and transfer pricing fundamentals.
• Desirable experience in knowledge transfer and change projects.
• Demonstrates high standards of accuracy and quality in work results.
• Proven analytical, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of German, French, or Spanish is an asset.
• Capable of targeted work with diverse nationalities.
• Proactive personality with an interest in supporting digital transformation and shaping the new organizational model of the global Transfer Pricing Community.
• Flexible and adept at managing ambiguity.
• Able to thrive in a dynamic shared ownership organization.
• Understanding the impact that comes with DSO and VACC capabilities
