The Treasury Manager - Operations is responsible for core treasury operational processes and leads a team of treasury specialists to ensure the efficient, accurate and timely execution of all owned activities.

This role is responsible for managing middle and back-office treasury processes, including foreign exchange risk management operations, trade finance, intercompany loan management and investment operations. The position holds end-to-end ownership of treasury operational procedures, ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, and alignment with internal policies, procedures and controls.

The Treasury Manager - Operations drives operational excellence by setting clear standards, standardising processes and implementing efficient, scalable treasury workflows. This individual is responsible for strengthening existing control frameworks, designing new ones when identified, and implementing from design to deployment, system solutions and automated workflows to support process efficiency and control.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Treasury Management System (TMS) implementations, in particular FIS Quantum, with a proven track record in process reengineering, driving automation and enabling continuous improvement.

This individual serves as the lead middle-office representative on key transformational projects impacting owned processes, and collaborates effectively across BKNG brands and functions to deliver successful outcomes.

This individual will support the design and implementation of In House Bank solutions inclusive of 'trading on behalf' structures.

In addition, the Treasury Manager - Operations is responsible for leading, coaching and developing the treasury operations team, including managing the allocation and performance of both operational and project-related workstreams. The individual ensures the ongoing development of a team of specialists, providing regular guidance, direction and hands-on support, while embedding an effective and scalable team operating model.

The Treasury Manager acts as a key internal business partner and representative of the team, working closely with stakeholders across Treasury, Finance and non-Finance functions to identify, communicate and deliver treasury solutions aligned with business requirements.

The Treasury Manager - Operations is comfortable in a dynamic environment that thrives on change, innovation and initiative, able to manage competing priorities and work under pressure while still delivering high-quality project and operational outcomes. With an ability to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and a strong ability to identify and implement process changes and enhancements.

Skills and experience required:

• Master degree (or Bachelor + professional treasury or finance qualification is preferred)
• 8 - 12 years experience ideally gained in a large international corporate environment managing direct reports.

• Proven experience in a similar role within a multinational organisation or financial institution;

• Demonstrated experience managing treasury operational processes - specifically foreign exchange risk management, trade finance, intercompany loan and investment operations;

• Experience leading and developing teams of treasury specialists;

• Able to efficiently perform ongoing daily operational tasks, identify ways to automate and increase efficiency and also support the team members in their core areas;

• A track record in process development and creation of controls and financial governance frameworks;

• Experience in change management and transformational projects relating to process redesign and efficiency improvements for treasury operations;

• Experience with designing and implementing core infrastructure inclusive of Treasury Management System processes in FIS Quantum from - defining objectives and creating business process documentation, creation of project and testing plans and the implementation strategy;

• Practical and technical knowledge of treasury products and processes including hands on experience across derivative processes inclusive of confirmations, settlements, reconciliation, controls and reporting procedures;

• Experienced in creation and maintenance of payment and confirmation templates for all applicable financial products;

• Experienced in swift messaging and enabling standard confirmation messaging (e.g., MT300 for FX/MM, MT320 for Time Deposit MT305 for FX Options or any other MTXXX used for other financial products);

• Strong knowledge of derivatives regulatory requirements, including EMIR reporting, margin requirements and clearing obligations and familiarity with ISDA documentation and protocols inclusive of process creation to ensure compliance with the external regulatory environment;

• Experience in calculating and and verifying Mark-to-Market valuations and margin call procedures in conformity with CSA agreements and thresholds;

• Experienced in managing relationships with internal stakeholders, an excellent English speaker with strong communication skills, able to adapt style and approach to effectively communicate and work with internal and external stakeholders from a variety of different cultures and levels of seniority;

• Able to create the overall standards and success metrics for the team, inclusive of determining optimal KPIs and insights and associated benchmarks across owned processes;

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to self identify process improvements and operational efficiencies;

• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor and develop a team

• Ability to establish clear process ownership, develop and maintain documentation and enforce adherence to controls

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operational deadlines

• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools is preferred.
