The Control Tower Manager is responsible for leading one of the LLP Control Tower operations, ensuring efficient end-to-end supply chain execution and visibility across international transport flows.

In this case, this position requieres a strong knowledge and experience on ocean transport operations, requiring solid experience in maritime logistics, container shipping, and direct collaboration with shipping lines, besides a proven experience leading operational teams in ocean.

The Control Tower Manager ensures operational performance, service levels, and continuous improvement across the network while working closely with customers, carriers, and internal teams to deliver optimized supply chain solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Control Tower team of logistics professionals, ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced international logistics environment.
• Oversee the execution and monitoring of international transport flows, with a strong focus on ocean freight and container shipping operations.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, ocean carriers, and logistics partners to ensure efficient maritime transport execution and performance.
• Manage transport operations using DHL Transport Management Systems (TMS) integrated with customer systems and ERPs.
• Define and monitor operational KPIs and service levels, ensuring targets related to service quality, cost, and transport performance are achieved.
• Develop the capabilities of the Control Tower team through active leadership, coaching, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Value Creation, Procurement, Carrier Management, and Warehousing teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the implementation of new logistics solutions and operational improvements, ensuring readiness of ocean transport processes before launch.
• Maintain close operational relationships with customers and carriers, ensuring high service standards and efficient issue resolution.
• Support the Head of Account when required and contribute to broader account strategy and operational delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in ocean freight and maritime logistics.
• Proven experience working with shipping lines, ocean carriers, and containerized maritime transport networks.
• Experience in 3PL or 4PL operations using Transport Management Systems integrated with customer systems.
• Previous experience managing or supervising operational logistics teams.
• Strong knowledge of ocean transport operations, container shipping, vessel schedules, and port logistics.
• Understanding of global maritime transport networks and carrier management.
• Basic understanding of international road transport operations is considered a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Data-driven decisition-maker.
• Ability to work in international and matrix organizations.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of customs regulations is a plus
