Job Purpose

As Corporate Customer Market Intelligence & Costing Director, you will drive the company's understanding of global automotive markets, customer strategies, and competitive positioning to shape product portfolio decisions, business development opportunities, and pricing strategies across our global powertrain business.

What You Will Do

• Lead global market intelligence activities, analyzing trends, regulations, technology evolution, and competitive dynamics across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

• Develop comprehensive OEM profiles, providing insights into customer strategies, portfolios, vertical integration models, strengths, weaknesses, and growth opportunities.

• Assess competitor products and technologies to identify performance, cost, and capability gaps, translating findings into actionable business recommendations.

• Define and monitor portfolio efficiency, diversity, and market coverage KPIs to support long-term business growth.

• Partner with Product Planning to shape future portfolio strategies and support strategic decision-making through data-driven market insights.

• Provide cost benchmarking and competitive cost analysis to establish target costing frameworks and support pricing strategies.

• Lead quarterly market intelligence reviews and present recommendations to senior leadership, including the Executive Management Team and Strategy Committees.

• Collaborate closely with Business Development, Sales, Strategy, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to align market insights with commercial and operational objectives.

What We Are Looking For

• Extensive experience in market intelligence, strategy, product planning, business analysis, or consulting within the automotive industry.

• Strong understanding of OEM business models, automotive supply chains, powertrain technologies, and Tier 1 supplier environments.

• Proven ability to conduct complex market, customer, and competitive analyses and translate findings into strategic recommendations.

• Experience working in international and matrix organizations with exposure to Europe, Asia, and/or the Americas.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support business development, pricing, and portfolio management decisions.

• Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear executive-level insights.

• Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and presenting recommendations to executive leadership teams.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Strategy, or a related field, with fluent English communication skills.
