Job Description:
This role sits within Deutsche Bank's Global Real Estate Engineering Team and oversees engineering operations across Spain and multiple European locations excluding Germany and UK&I, is the strategic base for this role due to the presence of CBRE's Tier‑1 vendor hub, existing engineering leadership, and a large retail footprint with 100+ branches and ongoing expansions. You will work closely with global engineering leadership, local Facility Management teams and sustainability specialists to continuously evolve service delivery and align with the Bank's Net Zero strategy.
Responsibilities
- Manage building engineering operations and hard services across assigned regions, ensuring compliance, service continuity and high operational standards.
- Drive energy efficiency improvements and support global sustainability initiatives, including performance tracking and reporting towards Net Zero goals.
- Lead Tier‑1 vendor management activities (primarily CBRE), ensuring contractual, safety and performance standards are consistently met.
- Implement engineering processes, platforms and best practices that enhance scalability, resilience and service quality.
- Partner with global and regional stakeholders to plan, deliver and monitor engineering initiatives that improve building performance and client satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong engineering background with practical experience in building operations, MEP systems and facilities engineering (essential).
- Proven leadership capability with a minimum of 3 years managing engineering teams, vendors or regional technical operations (essential).
- Experience overseeing large‑scale FM/MEP service delivery, including performance monitoring, vendor oversight and continuous improvement.
- Ability to operate in complex, multicultural environments and influence stakeholders across multiple countries.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is beneficial but not mandatory depending on candidate profile.
