Reporting to the Area Delivery Manager, this role will be responsible for driving performance process improvement across DMV delivery market while also leading the execution of the Delivery operations in the Columbia MD site to become Faster, Stronger and Better. As a Delivery Sr Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving ADAS, Haul backs, direct labor cost per case for the Columbia MD site and you will drive activities to achieve cost targets and improve performance in the areas of service, efficiency, safety and capability at Columbia MD site. You will maintain positive employee relations and communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist teams to solve operational issues while driving significant change.

The Delivery Sr Supervisor will oversee delivery in a single or multiple sales/Go-To-Market (GTM) location(s) within an assigned geography and will manage between 2-3 Delivery Team Leads who manage our frontline Drivers. You will partner with key stakeholders in various functions such as GTM, Sales and Warehouse to ensure local sites execute against delivery performance indicators such as, As Delivered as Scheduled (ADAS), Haul backs, Two-For-One, total OT hours, direct labor cost per case, and DOT Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to Delivery Team Leads and Delivery Drivers with varying job responsibilities including logistics, distribution and customer service through effective cross functional communication.
  • Lead analytical troubleshooting & problem solving
  • Develop annual operating plan, yield, and fixed budgets. Coach and train others on these as well
  • Develop your team to solve and manage the day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Deliver effective change leadership - driving business changes while minimizing people impact
  • Provide timebound analysis to the area to drive improvement.
  • Apply expertise to stabilize and improve the operation, driving improved performance metrics in: As Delivered as Scheduled (ADAS), Haul backs, & direct labor cost per case
  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist teams to solve operational issues
  • Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
  • Ensure the team delivers volume and revenue results while managing costs
  • Driving key performance indicators including; As Delivered as Scheduled (ADAS), Haul backs, Two-For-One, total OT hours, direct labor cost per case, and DOT Compliance.
  • Identify and coordinate improvements in delivery operations within specific geographic area of division to meet cost objectives and performance standards.
  • Evaluate local personnel capabilities, skills and resource alignment to ensure performance against objectives.
  • Identify day-to-day operational issues and develop strategic solutions to drive towards short and long term performance goals.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,400 - $122,850.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off in accordance with policy is subject to eligibility and includes vacation, holiday, sick, bereavement and parental leave.
    • Vacation: for eligible full-time employees, a minimum of 15 paid vacation days.
    • Holidays: for eligible full-time employees, the company provides 10 paid holidays annually.
    • Sick Leave: for eligible full- time employees, 10 days (80 hours) of paid sick leave benefits are available for absences related to non-job-related injury. Sick leave benefit will be accrued during your first year at 1 day for each month worked in that calendar year.
    • Bereavement Leave: In the event of a death of an immediate family member, full-time and part-time regular employees are eligible to receive up to three (3) consecutive working days with pay.
    • Parental Leave: for eligible employees, the company offers paid parental leave for up to 6 weeks to allow for a time of bonding with their newborn or newly adopted child.
