Summary of the role

The Senior Manager Commercial Strategy & Planning within Commercial Operations - Hospitality is a strategic enabler of commercial execution, focused on translating growth ambitions into operational reality.

This role is fully embedded within the Commercial Operations function and works in close partnership with Sales Management, ensuring that planning, performance, and enablement are aligned with frontline needs and market dynamics.

A critical success factor for this role is the ability to deliver accurate, actionable data insights that empower Sales Management to make informed decisions. The incumbent will lead efforts to improve data quality, harmonize customer taxonomy, and ensure that dashboards and reporting tools reflect the true state of commercial performance.

Main responsibilities

  • Territory Management and account assignment: Guide the commercial governance framework, including territory management, coverage modeling, and performance tracking, using Salesforce and other core systems. Collaborate with Sales Management to design, implement, and optimize territory structures and account assignment processes, supporting equitable coverage and sales growth.

  • Strategic Planning and Goal-Setting Process: Coordinate with the Controlling team to translate revenue expectations into clear sales targets, and communicate these targets across divisions, regions, and team members.

  • Actionable sales data insights: Provide accurate, useful sales data and enhance forecasting tools to support decision-making and performance tracking, integrating data sources such as pricing, retention, and customer behavior. Strengthen reporting and dashboard capabilities in partnership with DTS, leveraging AI-powered analytics to enrich insights and facilitate productivity assessments. Maintain all processes and tools to ensure a reliable and accurate sales reporting environment, enabling consistent visibility into performance and supporting agile commercial execution.

  • Commercial rules of engagement: Maintain and communicate clear, up-to-date commercial rules of engagement to ensure sellers operate with confidence and clarity. Collaborate with Sales Management to periodically review and refine these rules, ensuring a consistent governance framework that supports conflict avoidance and efficient sales execution.

  • Team management: Ensure all team members are aligned in their efforts and operate in a highly coordinated manner. Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting shared responsibility and clear communication to achieve collective objectives.

About the ideal candidate

  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or Statistics is required if essential for the role; equivalent experience will also be considered. An MBA or Master's in Finance is valued.

  • Experience guiding growth strategy, sales planning, and performance management, including involvement in commercial transformation initiatives (such as segmentation, coverage models, and incentive schemes).

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g., Salesforce) and understanding of finance and accounting.

  • Ability to support and enable organizational transformation, with effective communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience collaborating with senior leaders and working in diverse and evolving environments. Knowledge of the Hospitality industry or experience in a similar role is valued.

  • Professional proficiency in English.
